Georgia Bristow 2If you don’t come and see the band at any other venue, come to this one.

Some years ago we had the privilege of doing a charity gig for a plucky young girl called Georgia Bristow of Worcester. At that time it was to help raise funds for a trip to America for one of her many bouts of treatment.

Now Georgia, who is terminally ill having suffered and battled through 64 major operations, has inspired a music festival to raise money for a ACORNS, a Worcester children’s hospice.

Georgia who is called ‘G’ and nicknamed ‘titanium’ because of her toughness has inspired  ‘G-Fest’ at the Goodrest Tavern in Barker Street, Worcester, on May 31st to boost funds for Acorn’s which provides a lifeline to her and her family.

The fun begins at 2pm and runs until midnight and includes bucking broncos, bouncy castles, a tombola, raffle and a barbecue. Representatives from the police and fire service will be present with live entertainment in the form of gyroscope, an 80 piece strong vocal group called Voices Unlimited, who will be performing Sharon Bristow’s favourite song, “The Climb”. Other performers include Dirty Rumours, Esther Turner, Mike Skilbeck & Will, Barret & O’Neil, The Jazz Singers, Amanda Till, Aquarius and many more.

Aquarius will be performing inside the pub from 10pm.
